This pretty necklace comprises three rows of elongated faience beads in pale blue glazed faience. The necklace is highlighted by vintage gold plated spacer beads and a gold plated eye of Horus clasp. Both the beads and the clasp are from the jewelry produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the King Tut exhibition held in 1976, the clasp has the MMA stamp on the back! They contrast beautifully with these ancient beads of pale blue, color the ancient Egyptians particularly associated with the magical representation of new life, rejuvenation, and rebirth.

Condition: Some wear to the glaze but all beads are intact and in very good condition overall.
Provenance: J. B. private collection, London, acquired in the 1990s from the English trade.
