Originally converted from an earring, this superb gold drop type pendant is set with a cabochon emerald in a round bezel with granulated ball borders and scroliate elements on the outer edge. The lower bezel is set with a teardrop shape red garnet. The pendant is on a modern 18K adjustable gold chain.
Condition: Small chip to the garnet and a crack to the emerald that does not detract, otherwise the pendant is intact and in very good condition overall. A lovely piece that presents very well.
Dimensions: Length: 1 1/2 inch (3.8 cm)
Provenance: M. Possenbacher private collection, Monte Carlo to Edward H. Merrin Gallery, Inc., NYC. 1970s, thereafter private NYC collection.
