Carved from fine green jasper, a standing ibis with feathers defined by crosshatching on the back and folded wings, long tail feathers, a head turned in left profile with a long beak, a small ibis standing to the left. 

The ibis was sacred and associated with Thoth, the god of wisdom and writing. 

Dimensions: US ring size: 9 1/4

Condition: Intact and in excellent condition overall. Set in a modern 18k gold ring.

Provenance: Private collection of J.L., Texas, acquired from the New York trade in the early 1990s.
