Carved from deep blue speckled sodalite into the form of a double-headed bird, the triangular body decorated with three concentric circles, the incised decorations dusted with red cinnabar.
Dimensions: Bead length: 1 1/8 inches (2.85 cm). Strung on a later 16-inch silver chain.
Condition: Intact and in excellent condition overall.
Provenance: Private Maryland collection, acquired in the 1960s.
