Before him stands a dancer wearing an ankle-length garment with draped sleeves. On the reverse, a satyr pursues a maenad, placing the scene within the Dionysiac world of wine, music, dance, and ecstatic celebration. Added red enriches details of the figures and garments, while finely incised lines articulate the drapery, hair, and anatomy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDespite its diminutive scale, the vessel follows the established Attic amphora form, with a heavy rolled rim, paired vertical handles, an ovoid body, and a distinct foot.
