Aus hochkarätigem Gold, die Blechscheibe ist mit drei liegenden Mufflons geprägt, in der Mitte befindet sich ein halbkugelförmiger Knopf, der mit gezackten Punkten umrandet ist, über der Scheibe befindet sich eine Aufhängeöse.
Dieser goldene Anhänger zeugt von der außergewöhnlichen Kunstfertigkeit der achämenidischen Goldschmiede. Griechische Schriftsteller sprechen oft vom enormen Reichtum der Perser, und Herodot schreibt, dass die Truppen von König Xerxes „mit größter Pracht geschmückt waren ... sie glänzten über und über mit Gold, das sie in großen Mengen bei sich trugen“ (vii.83).
