This striking Costa Rican face pendant has been expertly carved and string-cut from a stunning piece of deep, blue-green jadeite, the expressive face with large, perforated eyes, drilled facial features, and perforated ear lobes. There is a suspension hole in the top center of his hairdo. Designed for wear, this early pendant has been restrung with a very pretty necklace comprising round beads of antique Chinese and Peruvian turquoise and a central 14K gold bead highlights the pendant.
Condition: Remains of a relief cut spine on the reverse of the pendant, it is intact and in excellent condition overall. A very fine example.
