Of triangular form, this lovely lapis lazuli bead of fine, deep celestial-blue, is hand-carved and polished to a lustrous finish.

For the ancients, lapis lazuli was the most highly prized and sought after of all precious stones. It remains the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit, and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth. For the Egyptians, the principal word for this stone was used as a synonym for 'joy' and 'delight'.
