Eine flachrückige Einlage, die eine dreidimensionale Weintraube darstellt, in der reichhaltigen purpur-blauen Fayence, die in Amarna entwickelt wurde.
Anhängerförmige Weintrauben, wie dieses Beispiel, wurden in einer Reihe von Palästen des Neuen Reiches gefunden. Sie treten als dekoratives Motiv in Tempelreliefs von Amarna auf, und die besondere Bedeutung von Fayence-Trauben im architektonischen Kontext lässt sich in ihrer Verwendung in Szenen erkennen, die mit Königtum verbunden sind. Indem sie eine laubenartige Umgebung schufen, könnten die reifen Trauben am königlichen Kiosk Fruchtbarkeit und Wohlbefinden symbolisieren, sowie ein Emblem königlicher und göttlicher Überlegenheit sein (Friedman, 1998).
