Diese filigran gefädelte Halskette besteht aus abwechselnd facettierten Perlen aus leuchtend blauem Lapislazuli und sattem rot-orangenem Karneol, durchsetzt mit gerippten Goldzwischenperlen, was eine außergewöhnliche Handwerkskunst beweist. Das Herzstück ist eine größere zylindrische Goldperle in Repoussé, verziert mit linearen Zierelementen.

Die Symmetrie und die Materialien deuten auf einen zeremoniellen oder elitären Status hin, da Lapislazuli und Karneol in der antiken babylonischen Kultur als schützende und heilige Steine galten. Die Verwendung von goldenen Zwischenperlen verleiht sowohl Eleganz als auch Status und weist auf einen hochrangigen Besitzer oder ein Votivopfer hin.

Zustand: Die Perlen sind alle intakt und in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Halskette wurde kürzlich mit einem modernen 18K Gelbgoldverschluss neu gefädelt.

Provenienz: Private New Yorker Sammlung, erworben im New Yorker Handel in den frühen 1990er Jahren.

We send overseas shipments with FedEx International Priority which usually means two to three day delivery to Europe and the UK, customs willing but contact us if you have a shipping preference.
