In characteristic pomegranate form, of bright turquoise glass with a globular body and flaring top, a scalloped rim, and a suspension loop. Pomegranates were first brought back to Egypt at the beginning of the New Kingdom from Western Asia and quickly became a popular motif for jewlery, amulets, and vessels.

Condition:  The pendant is complete, and expertly conserved from several pieces.  A rare and exceptional example.

Provenance: Ex Filk collection, UK, assembled in the 1950s, thereafter J.B. collection, UK, acquired in 2011.
