ein kleiner, schwarz glasierter gedrungener Lekythos mit aufgesetztem Schlaufengriff und trichterförmiger Mündung , einer übertrieben bauchigen unteren Hälfte, die auf einem Torus-Ringfuß sitzt. Die Mitte zeigt eine stehende Ente mit wunderschönen Details an Schnabel, Augen und Federn. Dekorative Elemente aus Palmetten flankieren proportional zu beiden Seiten des Tieres, zusammen mit einigen feinen geometrischen Formen.

Zustand : Einige Restaurierungsarbeiten am Griff, mit einigen kleinen Absplitterungen an der Basis. Ansonsten intakt und insgesamt in sehr gutem Zustand.

Abmessungen : Höhe: 2,25 Zoll (5,71 cm), Durchmesser: 1,5 Zoll (3,81 cm)

Provenienz : Private New Yorker Sammlung, erworben in der Ariadne Gallery, New York, mit Galerieetikett auf Sockel Nr. 261.
