This large pendant takes the form of a crescent moon, an ancient emblem of feminine energy. Crafted from high karat gold edged with fine gold wire, it features a warm red jasper inlay highlights the curved form.

Known as lunulae, crescent-shaped pendants were popular throughout the Roman world and were traditionally worn by girls and women as protective charms invoking the moon goddess. The motif symbolized femininity, fertility, and cyclical renewal, while also serving as a powerful amulet to ward off evil and misfortune. 

Medium: Gold

Dimensions: Pendant height: 3/4 inch (1.9 cm), length: 1 inch (2.5 cm). Strung on an 18K gold chain adjustable up to 18 inches.

Condition: with minor imperfections.
