Dieses elegante Kosmetikgefäß aus blaugrüner Fayence besteht aus zwei verbundenen Kajalgefäßen, die in Form von stilisierten Nilwasservasen modelliert sind. Die gepaarten Gefäße erheben sich von einer gemeinsamen rechteckigen Basis, deren ausgewogene Proportionen und zurückhaltende Konturen die Präferenz der Spätzeit für Symmetrie und Formklarheit widerspiegeln.
Solche doppelten Kajalgefäße wurden zur Aufbewahrung von Augenkosmetik, meist Kajal, verwendet, der im altägyptischen Alltag sowohl praktische als auch rituelle Rollen spielte.
