Fein bemalt in Blau, Weiß, Grün, Braun, Rot und Gelb polychrom. Diese kleinen Fragmente scheinen zum zweiten Stil der römischen Malerei zu gehören, rote Paneele, die Licht und Schatten darstellen, verziert mit pflanzlichen Ranken. Einige Paneele waren wahrscheinlich von einer roten Granatleiste umrahmt.
Römische Fresken sind die einzige erhaltene Art römischer Malerei, obwohl literarische Quellen von Malerei auf Holz, Elfenbein und anderen Materialien sprechen. Fresken wurden verwendet, um die Innenräume privater Häuser in römischen Städten und auf dem Land zu schmücken. Fresken wurden auf noch nasse Putzwände aufgetragen, so dass das Pigment in den Putz eindrang und Teil der Wand wurde, anstatt nur Farbe auf der Oberfläche zu sein.

Overseas shipments are sent using either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx but contact us if you have a shipping preference. International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes.
