Auf einer Seite dieser großen, fein geschnitzten rechteckigen Tafel ist das Gesicht des Gottes Bes zu sehen, dem Beschützer von Zuhause, Familie und Geburt, und aus diesem Grund spielt er in der häuslichen Magie und bei Amuletten eine herausragende Rolle. Seine enge Verbindung zu allen Aspekten der Fruchtbarkeit und Sexualität wird durch die Präsenz seines Bildes in den „Geburtshäusern“ deutlich, den Schreinen, die mit Tempeln der späten und griechisch-römischen Zeit verbunden sind. Er hatte auch eine besondere Beziehung zur Göttin Hathor und trat in ihrem Gefolge als Musiker und Tänzer auf. Hier ist der Gott mit seinen typischen grotesken Gesichtszügen, Federkrone und Löwenmähne dargestellt, während auf der Rückseite doppelte Kobras eingraviert sind, um den Schutz noch weiter zu verstärken. Zur Befestigung wird die Plakette vertikal durchstochen.
