Mit komplizierten Mustern und leuchtenden Farben schufen koptische Weber Meisterwerke der Textilkunst. Koptische Textilien, die für Teppiche, Wandbehänge und Kleidungsapplikationen verwendet wurden, wurden in das gesamte römische und byzantinische Reich exportiert. Koptische Tuniken und Schals gehörten zu dieser Zeit zur Standardkleidung. Medaillons (kreisförmige Ornamente) wurden üblicherweise an den Schultern und Knien von Tuniken und an den vier Ecken rechteckiger Schals angebracht. Dieses Beispiel stammt jedoch aufgrund der Größe höchstwahrscheinlich von einem Wandbehang.

Overseas shipments are sent using either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx but contact us if you have a shipping preference. International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes.
