Der tropfenförmige Kopf ist in Längsrichtung durchbohrt, um ihn an einem Holzschaft zu befestigen, der aus cremefarbenem, verhärtetem Kalkstein geschnitzt ist.

Hintergrund:  Der Streitkolben ist eine einfache Handwaffe, auf halbem Weg zwischen einer Keule und einem Hammer. Als Symbole militärischer Macht ist die ägyptische Ikonographie reich an Darstellungen ägyptischer Anführer, die Feinde mit einer Keule schlagen, und einige der frühesten greifbaren Dokumente des dynastischen Ägyptens stammen von zeremoniellen Keulenköpfen, wie etwa dem von König Skorpion und König Narmer aus der 1. Dynastie .
