This elegant pendant is formed as a six-pointed star in high-karat gold, and is constructed in a shallow box form typical of early Islamic goldwork. The front surface is embellished with finely applied raised granules, each placed to emphasize the star's geometry and frame the central setting. At the center sits a round turquoise inlay with a soft blue-green tone that stands out beautifully against the warm gold. A suspension loop is positioned at the top, and the back is smoothly finished, consistent with the period’s emphasis on clear geometric form. The pendant is now fitted with a modern 18K yellow gold chain, allowing it to be worn once more.

The hexagonal star, known in the Islamic world as the Seal of Solomon (Khatam Suleiman), held protective and auspicious meaning. It appears widely across early Islamic metalwork, architecture, and manuscript illumination, where its clear geometry symbolized harmony and divine order. Pendants of this type were worn as talismans symbolizing divine wisdom, and as an emblem of the connection between heaven and earth, often incorporating esoteric and spiritual symbolism. They were often set with colored stones believed to enhance their protective qualities.
