Provenienz: Teil der James Stephan Snr. Sammlung, zusammengestellt in den 1950er bis frühen 1960er Jahren und dann nach Abstammung. Dr. Stephan war ein US-Geheimdienstoffizier, der auch einen Abschluss in Archäologie hatte. Während dieser Zeit war er bei der US-Regierung in der anatolischen Region der Türkei stationiert und erwarb seine Sammlung von Händlern und Dorfbewohnern in der gesamten Region.
