Die Koban-Kultur ist eine spätbronze- und eisenzeitliche Kultur des nördlichen und zentralen Kaukasus. Ihr gehen die kolchische Kultur im westlichen Kaukasus und die Charachoi-Kultur weiter östlich voraus. Es ist nach dem Dorf Koban in Nordossetien benannt, in dem 1869 in einem Kurgan Streitäxte, Dolche, Dekorationsgegenstände und andere Gegenstände entdeckt wurden. Später wurden weitere Fundstellen im Zentralkaukasus entdeckt. Dieses seltene Exemplar weist ein elliptisches Schaftloch sowie eine halbmondförmige Klinge und einen Hammer im rechten Winkel auf.
