Der meisterhaft aus Silberblech gefertigte kleine Vogelanhänger verfügt über einen Kopf mit dreieckigem Schnabel und ausgeprägten Augen, hinter den Körper gesteckte Flügel, ausgestreckte Füße mit Krallen und einen keilförmigen Schwanz, zwischen dem sich eine kleine Aufhängeöse mit Resten einer antiken Kordel befindet die Flügel. Der Körper des Vogels besteht aus zwei separaten zusammengelöteten Blechen, die sich am Schwanz öffnen und so geschickt eine kleine Pinzette bilden. Im alten Peru wurden Pinzetten oft in kunstvollen Formen wie Muscheln, menschlichen Figuren, Tieren und Vögeln als Symbol für Status und Macht gegossen.
