In das dunkle Granat-Intaglio ist eine Figur eingraviert, höchstwahrscheinlich Merkur, der einen Caduceus hält und einen spitz zulaufenden Helm trägt. Es ist in einen schweren Ring aus 22-karätigem Gold eingefasst, wobei die breite, runde Lünette und der Schaft einen sehr attraktiven Hintergrund für das geschwungene Intaglio bilden.
