The large spherical bowl with a wishbone-shaped handle on one side, a white slip background underneath a brown crosshatched bands rising vertically from the bottom of the bowl to meet a horizontal band, below a chain band and a crosshatched band at the rim. Such vessels were typically called "milk bowls" as they were larger than personal eating bowls and were often used for dipping.

Dimensions: Height: 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm), Width with handle: 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm)

Condition: Intact and in very good condition overall.

Provenance: Private collection of diplomat Norman M. Bouton (1933 - 2018), acquired while serving in Cyprus (06/1969 - 06/1972).
