Hand-carved from dark red carnelian and polished to a soft, smooth sheen over 3500 years ago by the ancient Egyptians, this rhombus bead emotes power, courage, healing, protection, and balance between passion and serenity. Carnelian crystals such as this example were immensely popular in Ancient Egypt and considered one of the six most prized. Closely connected to the sun god, Re, carnelian was a stone often used in jewelry as it was believed it was endowed with magical powers, providing energy, dynamism, and power.

Dimensions: Bead length: 5/8 inch (1.6 cm). Strung on an 18K gold chain adjustable up to 18 inches

Condition: The pendant is intact and in excellent condition. It has been strung on a modern 18K yellow gold chain.
