A Banded Agate Seal of a Sasanian Ruler

Carved from exceptional banded agate, the ovoid seal featuring a matrix from soft white to fiery reddish-orange, the base incised with the bust of a king in right profile with loose curly hair and beard, wearing a large bead earring, the seal drilled longitudinally for stringing.
