Cast in bronze and preserved with a mottled green patina, this freestanding element represents a stylized component of the Atef crown, the headdress closely associated with Osiris. The form is articulated with a broad, gently curving upper section terminating in a rounded tip, rising from a flattened central shaft, representing a feather. At the lower right, a small attenuated uraeus, the rearing cobra emblem of royal and divine authority, contributing both structural stability and visual balance.

Dimensions: Height: 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), Height with base: 6 7/16 inches (16.4 cm), Width: 3 13/16 inches (9.6 cm)

Condition: Overall intact with stable bronze patina. Surface exhibits heavy oxidation and encrustation throughout. Minor pitting and surface irregularities consistent with age. Mounted on a modern base.

Provenance: Private Boston collection acquired from Hurst Gallery, Boston, in 2010.
