This stylized greenstone jade head has a very modern look with a triangular head, a lightly incised grid pattern on the underside to represent scales, and the drilled suspension holes at the top of the head emulating eyes.

Dimensions: Pendant length: 7/8 inch (2.2 cm). Strung on a 16-inch black cord necklace with 14K gold terminals.
Condition: Minor surface abrasions that do not detract, otherwise intact and in excellent condition.
Provenance: Private Long Island, New York collection, previously in the private collection of Nancy and John Hyde Devoe, New York City and New Jersey, acquired in the 1950s - 1970s.
