This object qualifies for free USA shipping and a flat rate fee of $75 if shipping internationally.

A finely painted Attic red-figure skyphos decorated with a pair of owls shown frontally, each rendered with large circular eyes and crisply articulated, linear wing markings. Laurel branches rise along either side of the composition, framing the handles and visually separating the two birds. The vessel has a slightly tapering body with twin horizontal handles and a low disc foot, preserving a well-balanced, compact profile.

The owl, strongly associated with Athena and Athens, appears here in a confident and stylized form typical of late Classical Attic pottery. The restrained palette and assured line work suggest an experienced hand and a workshop conversant with contemporary iconography.
