Condition: Loss to the top and small chips throughout the body, otherwise complete. A rare example.
Provenance: Royall Tyler (1884 - 1953), thence by descent. Royall ("Peter") Tyler was an historian, diplomat, economist, and art connoisseur. He was his the deputy commissioner general of the Economic and Financial Section of the League of Nations in Geneva (1924–1928). In 1923, Royall Tyler and Elisina Tyler acquired (and later restored) the historic garrison-castle, Antigny-le-Château, in Burgundy. Tyler was instrumental in organizing the first international exhibition of Byzantine art in Paris in 1931. He died at the age of sixty-eight on March 2, 1953, in Paris, apparently by suicide.

We ship Tuesday to Friday with FedEx and usually same day if your order is received before 2pm. Within the continental USA, packing, shipping and insurance is free. Depending on size and destination, delivery times range from one to five business days.
For overseas shipments we charge a small flat rate which includes packing, preparation of all customs paperwork, insurance and carrier fees in compliance with all USA and International customs requirements. Overseas shipments are sent using either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx but contact us if you have a shipping preference. International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes.
