Un autel en pierre volcanique finement sculpté représentant deux jaguars opposés soutenant un bassin rectangulaire peu profond à rebord surélevé. Les formes félines sont représentées en position couchée, avec des membres forts et stylisés et des traits faciaux expressifs, incarnant la puissance et la vitalité associées au jaguar, symbole durable de force, de fertilité et de transformation chamanique dans les croyances précolombiennes.
La surface supérieure était probablement utilisée pour le broyage rituel ou la préparation d'offrandes cérémonielles, tandis que les supports zoomorphes élèvent la pièce en tant qu'objet à la fois fonctionnel et sacré. For overseas shipments we charge a small flat rate which includes packing, preparation of all customs paperwork, insurance and carrier fees in compliance with all USA and International customs requirements. Overseas shipments are sent using either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx but contact us if you have a shipping preference. International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes.
