Ce miroir circulaire offre un aperçu fascinant de la vie quotidienne des anciens Romains. Utilisés pour la toilette personnelle, les miroirs étaient considérés comme une partie importante des accessoires personnels romains. Les miroirs romains en bronze étaient produits dans différentes tailles, et cet exemple particulier est très grand, mesurant huit pouces de diamètre. Poli pour obtenir un éclat brillant, le côté miroir est légèrement convexe, ce qui aurait contribué à produire un reflet clair. Le dos est protégé par un rebord peu profond et présente un charmant motif floral incisé de registres alternés de cercles et de pétales.
