Bande de lin fin, non teint, provenant d'un linceul de momie égyptienne antique. Le textile est réalisé en armure toile, typique des linceuls funéraires du Nouvel Empire, présentant des fils serrés et réguliers et une teinte chaude et naturelle due à l'âge et à l'oxydation. Les bords effilochés et les légères séparations attestent de son utilisation ancienne et d'un déballage minutieux à l'époque moderne. Le lin tel que celui-ci aurait été produit à partir de fibres de lin cultivées, filées en fils fins et tissé sur des métiers à tisser horizontaux, un artisanat central de la production textile égyptienne pendant des millénaires.

For overseas shipments we charge a small flat rate which includes packing, preparation of all customs paperwork, insurance and carrier fees in compliance with all USA and International customs requirements. Overseas shipments are sent using either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx but contact us if you have a shipping preference. International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes.
