À partir de la vingt-sixième dynastie, on trouve presque toujours deux amulettes ensemble : l'équerre du charpentier, comme on le voit ici, et le plomb (vue EA2372). L'équerre se présente sous la forme de deux longueurs souvent inégales de tige carrée qui se rejoignent à angle droit. Constituée le plus souvent de pierre de couleur foncée, notamment d'hématite dans le cas de l'équerre, la possession de cette amulette garantirait à son propriétaire une droiture éternelle.
