A superb oval stamp seal carved in warm translucent carnelian, depicting a finely modeled kneeling king in profile. The bearded monarch is shown wearing a tall crenelated crown and a long, pleated robe with an overfolded hem. In his left hand, he holds a composite bow, while his right hand steadies a long spear, iconography that symbolizes both divine authority and martial command. At his back hangs a sheath of arrows, a distinctive emblem of royal preparedness and martial authority. The figure’s posture, caught between kneeling and advancing, reflects the dual imagery of devotion and power that defined Achaemenid royal art.

The stone is perforated longitudinally for suspension, as customary for personal seals of the period. The craftsmanship is exceptionally crisp, reflecting the formal iconography and high aesthetic standards of the Achaemenid court. Seals of this type served both as personal identifiers and as symbols of authority within the empire's administrative elite. This image of a kneeling or striding royal figure bearing bow and spear is among the most enduring motifs of Achaemenid art, repeated on coinage, reliefs, and official seal impressions.

An exceptional example of technical refinement and imperial symbolism, it has been modern set as a pendant with a 14-karat yellow gold tapered bail adorned with a round 0.02 ct diamond (I1 clarity, G–H color). The pendant has been strung on a contemporary black leather cord with 14K gold fittings and clasp. A superb example.
