This object qualifies for free USA shipping and a flat rate fee of $60 if shipping internationally.

This tan design scarab shows a king wearing the blue crown with uraeus, holding a mace in his right hand, and grasping an animal in his left hand. The two hieroglyphs in front of the king’s face are probably an incomplete spelling of Menkheperre, the prenomen of Thutmose III (“Men[kheper]re”).  Pierced vertically for attachment, the back of the scarab beautifully incised with a papyrus motif.

Condition: Some minor loss to the top terminal hole from wear, otherwise intact and in very good condition overall.

Dimensions: Length: 1.8 cm (0.70 inches)

Provenance: Private Maryland collection of a diplomat, acquired while serving in Egypt between 1949 and 1956, and then by descent.
