scaraboid plaquette commemorating Tutmosis III, one side with a double cartouche containing the prenomen of Thutmose III ie: “Menkheperre”, each surmounted by a nefer hieroglyph (or perhaps a was scepter) flanked by two maat feathers.  The other side again with a single Menkheperre cartouche flanked by a uraeus on either side and a crouching sphinx above.

Dimensions:  5/8 x 1/2 inch (1.5 x 1.27 cm)

Condition:  Wear and small losses to the edges of the plaque that do not detract from the fine iconography, otherwise intact and in very good condition overall.

Provenance:  Private collection of a Polish archaeologist living in England, 1950s - 60s.
