The cow was sacred to the goddess Hathor, who was the goddess of beauty, joy, and love. She also represented fate, and those who wore her amulet earned her favor and a happy destiny.

Condition:  Reattached at the neck, overall in very good condition.

Provenance:  Private Massachusetts collection, acquired from the London trade in the late 1980s - early 1990s.
