This elegant ring features a finely-carved ancient amethyst scarab set in an antique 20-22K gold band. The scarab, a symbol of rebirth and protection, was a popular motif among ancient Egyptians, especially during the Middle Kingdom. The amethyst gemstone, ranging in color from deep violet to pale lavender, was highly prized in ancient Egypt for its protective qualities, thought to shield the wearer from misfortune and evil.

The scarab itself is minimally carved, with a smooth, polished surface and an uninscribed base, showcasing the natural beauty of the amethyst. The vintage gold band is adorned with Egyptian-style lotus blossoms on the shoulders, further enhancing the piece's connection to ancient Egyptian art and symbolism.
