A finely worked bifacial knife, expertly flaked from a dense brown flint. The long, lenticular blade is shaped with careful percussion flaking along both edges, producing a sharp, symmetrical cutting surface that tapers gracefully to a pointed tip. The lower portion retains a slightly thicker grip area, suggesting it was hafted into a wooden handle. The surface exhibits a well-developed patina consistent with great age and burial, highlighting the flake scars across both faces.

Medium: Flint

Dimensions: Length: 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm)

Condition: Intact and in excellent condition overall.

Provenance: Private collection of Leighton Wilkie (1900 - 1993), founder of the international DoAll Group of companies that make and distribute machine tools and other industrial equipment. With old collection number 'B-3' in black ink on one side.
