An elegant gold pendant in the form of a pointed teardrop enclosing a deep red garnet. The gem is set within a finely modeled border of twisted wire and granulated detail, creating a delicate frame that accentuates its rich hue. This type of pendant, often suspended from a fine chain or woven necklace, was a favored ornament among Roman women and symbolized protection and vitality. Now mounted on a modern 18K yellow gold chain, this ancient jewel retains its timeless sophistication, wearable as both a historic artifact and a contemporary adornment.
