A well-preserved medieval silver signet ring featuring an oval bezel deeply engraved with a stylized lion rampant within a dotted circular border, surrounded by a band of stylized Lombardic or pseudo-inscriptional characters. The shoulders are decorated with simple linear and cross motifs, tapering to a rounded band. The engraving retains fine definition, and the surface has developed a soft grey patina characteristic of ancient silver.

Rings of this type were used both as personal seals and as marks of status, the lion rampant being one of the most enduring symbols of medieval heraldry, representing courage, strength, and noble lineage. Such imagery appears frequently on signets from England, France, and the Low Countries during the late Middle Ages, often linked to families or individuals of knightly rank.
